Blue Collar Denim is a personal project documenting my Dad’s collection of rare vintage denim. Based in the Co. Clare, Ben March is a renaissance man in the truest sense of the term - a bodhrán maker, builder and carpenter by trade, his interests range from traditional music to mountain biking, rock climbing, vintage cameras and clothes mending. His denim collection is stored in a purpose-built loft in his cottage and includes pieces from as early as the 1940s.

These images, captured by Doreen Kilfeather, feature my Dad, my then 8 month old son, and a number of people local to Co. Clare.

This series of images appeared in Image Magazine along with a feature by Michelle Hanley.
